In PHYSEC, we aim at exploiting the physical-layer parameters to provide the different security aspects including confidentiality and authentication for IoT applications in military and security applications.
This approach is commonly referred in the literature to the Physical-Layer Security (PLS). PLS implies using one or more of the physical layer-related parameters, such as signal modulation, channel coding, bit-to-symbol mapping, and channel characteristics, as a means of improving data confidentiality and attaining message authentication. PLS approach has been widely preferred as promising solution due to its high efficiency and low complexity compared to conventional security.
